Honeymoon's Over

So I guess it's around the four-year mark when things in a new house start to break.

Our waterheater is making awful noises. I'll be calling our plumber today.

Leslie: Have you ever drained some water out of it? To avoid scale in the first place, open the drain valve at the base of the tank and flush about a gallon of water every few months. Follow manufacturer's recommendations when you do this. Be sure to hook-up a hose or allow for proper drainage of the scalding hot water before opening the valve.

No, we'll try it, thanks!

Wait a minute - Leslie might not have done this but Eric has. Didn't seem to fix anything. Maybe need to try again?

I've heard the noises before. Don't forget to pray for it....and have you been saying that you have a little extra money when you were standing by it. Never ever talk like that around your cars or your appliances. Also be glad that it is in the garage. I hear the new ones don't last as long. The one in the rental has been there for a long time and Uncle Mike says if it's not broken don't fix it. Love, Ma
