When I was young, a hundred years ago, there was no such thing as kindergarten and Mom was a stay at home Mom. So Mom was more than happy that my birthday was August 31st as the cutoff day here was September 1st and she could let me start 1st grade. I am sure she celebrated having just one more child at home since Garry was the sixth child. I was such a shy child, I always thought it might have been better if I had waited one more year, but who knows. It was also nice to graduate high school at 17.
Les, Thank you for introducing me to such a fun blog. More entertainment for me is a good thing, especially with Eric traveling so much. :) Can't wait to visit with you soon! Rachel
