Total Quality Management

You may be wondering why updates to this site have been a little slow lately.  The primary reason is that it's been a pretty exciting week:  We celebrated Andrew's 2nd birthday, welcomed his new cousin Caleb into the world a day later (albeit remotely), and, just 3 days after that, picked up a new family member with Mara and Arthur's wedding.  With all this going on, there just hasn't been much time to sit in front of the computer and write up great stories about how excited we are for everyone.

Which is a good thing for our friends over at Hewlett-Packard.  Long time readers of this site might remember some of our not-so-distant trials and tribulations with this world class computer supplier, but after a few go arounds, they did finally manage to get our machine up and running.  Unfortunately, even if the week's events had allowed time for unrestrained, stream-of-consciousness updates to the blog, we would have been stymied.

Yes, you guessed it, I am sorry to report that our relatively new computer has died.  Again.  Same thing as before.  Completely dead.  Won't even boot up.  Considering that all we use the machine for is to surf the web, update this blog and play Elmo games, we're a little disappointed that the HP machine can't hold its own here.  My old AST 486 DX 33mhz did all the same stuff - and more - through 4 years of undergrad over 10 years ago.  So much for Moore's law here.

Anyway, we'll have to go through the whole "FedEx Your Computer Back to Us" thing once again, so in the meantime we will be posting via other channels at somewhat more, irregular intervals.

I check on Caleb daily and can't wait to see pictures of Andrew and your new upcoming bundle of joy. (I'm Rhonda's favorite sister). Cathy
